Join Mountaineer Motor Tours for a lunch and learn presentation exploring the history of food and restaurants in Asheville! We'll explore food and restaurants, from the age of George Vanderbilt at the Biltmore Estate, to the modern "Food Topia" era of Asheville. Ticket includes a buffet pizza lunch, salad, drink and dessert from Del Vecchios.
Our presentation will explore the evolution of food systems, restaurants and fine dining in Asheville, as well as the wine and craft brewing industries. These topics will be woven into general architectural and city history. Lunch will start at 11:30am, with the presentation beginning at noon. The presentation will last 50 minutes, with a 10 minute Q&A portion. Come learn more about the city and what fed its residents over the last 140 years!
